Everything operators ask before, during, and after going live. Automation, modes, governance, proof, pricing, security, and technical details.
How long does it take to go live?
Most operators launch their first automation within 15 minutes of signup. Full platform configuration—integrations, policies, and proof dashboards—typically takes 1-2 weeks. With the Accelerator program, you are fully operational in 4 weeks.
What does onboarding look like?
You start with a guided workspace setup that connects your existing tools, configures your data model, and sets governance policies. A product tour walks you through each module. Growth and Enterprise plans include a dedicated onboarding specialist.
Do I need technical skills to use Profitalize?
No. The platform is designed for business operators, not developers. You interact through natural language prompts, visual builders, and drag-and-drop interfaces. For advanced customizations, our API and connector SDK are available—but most operators never need them.
Can I try Profitalize before committing?
Yes. Start with a free assessment to see what Profitalize would automate in your business. You can also book a live demo where we walk through your specific use case with real data.
What if I already have a tech stack in place?
That is exactly what Overlay Mode is for. Connect your existing tools—Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, GA4, and more—and run them from one OS view. No migration required. Replace tools only when you are ready.
What can Profitalize automate?
Anything that follows a pattern: lead scoring, cart rescue, churn prevention, email sequences, ad budget rebalancing, report generation, data enrichment, customer segmentation, and more. If you can describe it, the OS can execute it.
How much control do I keep over automated actions?
Full control. Every automation runs under your governance policies. You set approval thresholds, spend caps, and rollback rules. Nothing executes without matching your defined constraints. You can pause, modify, or stop any automation instantly.
What happens if an automation goes wrong?
The OS enforces policy boundaries—spend caps, rate limits, and validation checks prevent runaway actions. If an issue occurs, the audit trail shows exactly what happened, when, and why. Rollback capabilities let you reverse actions where possible.
Can automations work across multiple tools?
Yes. Cross-system automations are a core capability. An automation can trigger in Shopify, update HubSpot, adjust Google Ads, and send a Slack notification—all in one governed workflow with a single audit trail.
How are automations different from Zapier or Make?
Zapier connects tools. Profitalize operates your business. Automations here include governance, proof tracking, learning memory, and policy enforcement. They are not just triggers and actions—they are governed business runs with measurable outcomes.
What is the difference between Overlay, Native, and Hybrid mode?
Overlay mode connects your existing tools and runs them from one view—no migration needed. Native mode replaces tools with Profitalize modules (CRM, email, analytics, etc.). Hybrid mode lets you keep some tools and replace others—one governance model for everything.
Can I switch modes after going live?
Yes. Modes are not permanent. Many operators start with Overlay to get value fast, then migrate specific tools to Native as they see results. The transition is gradual and non-disruptive.
Which mode should I start with?
If you have a working stack and want quick results: Overlay. If you are starting fresh or consolidating tools: Native. If you want the best of both: Hybrid. Most operators start Overlay and evolve to Hybrid within 90 days.
Does Overlay mode require any changes to my existing tools?
No. Overlay mode uses read-write API connections to your existing tools. Your tools continue to work exactly as before—Profitalize adds a unified view, governance, and automation on top.
What tools can I connect in Overlay mode?
We support 50+ integrations including Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Slack, Twilio, SendGrid, Zendesk, and more. Custom connectors can be built for any tool with an API.
How do approvals work?
You define approval policies by action type, dollar amount, or risk level. Actions below threshold execute automatically. Actions above threshold queue for review. Approvers are notified in real-time and can approve, reject, or modify from any device.
Can I set spending limits on automations?
Yes. Spend caps can be set at the automation, module, or account level. Daily, weekly, and monthly limits are supported. The OS enforces caps automatically—no action can exceed its budget without explicit override approval.
What is in the audit trail?
Every action, every decision, every change. Who triggered it, what policy allowed it, what data was used, what the outcome was, and when it happened. The audit trail is immutable and exportable for compliance requirements.
Can I set role-based permissions?
Yes. Fine-grained role-based access control (RBAC) covers every module, action, and data set. Define custom roles with specific permissions. Enforce separation of duties for sensitive operations.
What is rollback and how does it work?
When an automation produces unintended results, rollback reverses the actions where technically possible. For example, if an email sequence is paused, future sends stop immediately. For irreversible actions (like sent emails), the audit trail documents what happened for remediation.
How do you measure impact?
Every automation runs with proof tracking. We set baselines before execution, measure outcomes after, and use causal attribution to determine what actually drove results—not just correlation.
What is a proof ledger?
A tamper-evident record of every action and its measured outcome. Unlike dashboards that show snapshots, the proof ledger connects actions to results with attribution logic. It is the evidence that your automation is working.
How is this different from regular analytics dashboards?
Dashboards show what happened. Proof shows what caused it. Traditional analytics tell you revenue went up. Profitalize proof tells you which specific automation, targeting which segment, with which message, drove that revenue increase.
What is learning memory?
Every run stores what worked and what did not. Learning memory is a structured knowledge base that informs future automation decisions. Over time, the OS gets better at predicting outcomes and recommending actions—compounding improvement.
Can I export proof data for board reports or investors?
Yes. Proof reports are exportable as PDF, CSV, or via API. Custom report templates are available for board presentations, investor updates, and team reviews.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing is based on your plan tier (Starter, Growth, Enterprise) and usage. Each tier includes a set number of contacts, automations, and build credits. Usage beyond included amounts is billed at transparent per-unit rates.
Are there setup fees?
No setup fees on Starter or Growth plans. Enterprise plans include a dedicated implementation package—pricing varies based on complexity. The Accelerator program has a separate fee.
Can I change plans or add modules later?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or add modules at any time. Changes are pro-rated. No long-term contracts required on Starter and Growth plans.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) for all plans. Wire transfer and invoicing available for Enterprise annual contracts. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Is there a free trial?
We offer a free business assessment that shows what Profitalize would automate for you. For hands-on evaluation, book a demo with your real data. No credit card required to start.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in SOC 2-compliant cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Regional data residency options are available for Enterprise plans. No data is shared across tenants.
What compliance certifications do you have?
SOC 2 Type II certified. GDPR-compliant with DPA available. HIPAA-eligible for healthcare customers on Enterprise plans. CCPA-compliant for California-based businesses.
Who can access my data?
Only your team members with the permissions you grant. Profitalize staff access requires explicit authorization and is logged in the audit trail. No third parties can access your data without your consent.
How do you handle data breaches?
We follow a documented incident response plan. Affected customers are notified within 72 hours per GDPR requirements. Our security team conducts root cause analysis and publishes post-mortems. Bug bounty program incentivizes responsible disclosure.
Can I bring my own encryption keys?
Enterprise plans support customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK). You retain full control of your encryption keys while we manage the infrastructure.
What integrations are supported?
Over 50 native integrations including Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Slack, Twilio, SendGrid, Zendesk, Klaviyo, and more. Custom integrations available through our connector SDK and API.
Do you have an API?
Yes. Full REST API with comprehensive documentation. GraphQL endpoint available on Growth and Enterprise plans. Webhooks for real-time event notifications. Rate limits scale with your plan tier.
What is the uptime SLA?
99.9% uptime SLA on Growth plans. 99.99% on Enterprise. Multi-region failover ensures continuity. Real-time status page at profitalize.com/status.
Can I self-host Profitalize?
Currently, Profitalize is available as a managed SaaS platform only. Self-hosted and private cloud deployments are on the Enterprise roadmap. Contact us for early access.
How does the AI model work?
Profitalize uses a multi-model architecture. Different tasks route to the most appropriate model—fast models for simple operations, advanced models for complex reasoning. Your data is never used to train models. All inference runs in isolated environments.
